Susquehanna Greenway Partnership
The Susquehanna Greenway Partnership is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the Susquehanna Greenway, which is a network of conserved land, trails, and communities that run along the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. The Partnership’s three main program areas are Trails (both land and water), River Towns, and Education & Outreach. As the Communications and Outreach Assistant, my responsibilities largely fell under the third program area, and included writing regular “News” stories for the website homepage.
Since 1968, Bucknell University Press has been publishing in the humanities and social sciences, averaging about 35 titles per year. My work at the Press has involved a range of responsibilities, one of which includes contributing to a blog by writing articles on various topics and conducting interviews.
Budget Your Trip is an online platform that helps travelers to plan and track their travel budget. It allows them to search for cities and countries around the world and calculate estimated costs for whichever kind of trip they choose from budget to midrange and luxury. My part is to contribute descriptions for particular locations, giving visitors insight to the essence of the place and what it has to offer in sights, activities, food, neighborhoods, and transportation. I also write for the blog on a monthly basis.
The Culture Trip is an international travel and culture website that exhibits some of the best food, art, activities, places to stay, and things to see in any given city around the world. My contributions to the website have spanned locations across the United States, and are now primarily focused on the NYC hub.
Blooming Twig is an independent publishing house that has issued children’s books, self-help titles, trade-based books, fiction, poetry and prose books, and books by internationally renowned authors, among any other genre you can imagine. They’re mantra is “books that matter.” During my time with them I contributed to a weekly blog as well as a segment called Vocab Madness.
